I would say that one of the biggest triggers for me is being controlled by external forces. I can also say that I am aware of where I have allowed myself to be controlled and how it has left me very disempowered and created great setbacks to my own personal growth and liberation. Freedom in all 'it's' many faces and forms is what I promote at the core of my purpose so I found this project fitting right now.
I will be posting my work as I go on this journey in creating the visuals of freedom that represent layers within and around me. There is a story to each piece. A story of a woman that broke free of the shackles and chains and the animal spirit that stands strong at her side. Maybe when you gaze into her eyes, you can relate to these women or are reminded of someone just like her.
